In December 2023, I had the incredible honor of being named Best International Undergraduate Student at East Carolina University — an award that selects one student out of over 26,000 for their academic excellence, leadership, and contribution to the campus community.

This recognition is more than just a title — it’s a testament to years of perseverance, cross-cultural impact, and a deep commitment to both academic growth and community development. As an international student, being celebrated on such a large stage was both humbling and empowering.
